Pololu 3pi+Standard Editionrobot build kit. It is equipped with 30:1DC HPCB micro motorswith encoders andATmega32U4basedcontroller. The 3pi robot is equipped with 9DoF sensors, IR reflective sensors for line tracking, collision sensors (located on the bumper),LCD display, buzzer and power switch. Two motors withencodersalong with two wheels with silicon tires and a support ball allow the robot to move at 1.5 m/s.
Equipment of the 3pi+ robot
The pololu robot is based on a motherboard of9.7 cmdiameter withATmega32U4chip. The board is equipped withmicroUSBconnector for programming the board andArduinocompatible bootloader. In order to program the board, usemicroUSB to USB cable(not included). The robot can be programmed inArduino IDEenvironment using available libraries and sample codes for Arduino. Additional ports, designed for more advanced users, allow to connect additional accessories. The board also includesan H-bridgeandencodersfor controlling DC motors, as well as a 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer, 5 IR reflective sensors for detecting surface edges and a right and left collision sensor. Three buttons for any user use, LCD display, buzzer and status LEDs.
What do I need to get started with the robot?
- Four AAA batteries - the robot works with alkaline and rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, the manufacturer recommends the use of rechargeableNi-MH batteries.
- MicroUSB cable- required to connect the robot with the computer, for programming and debugging purposes.
