Description
The M4 Metro is fully compatible with popular Arduino Uno module. This means that it can be programmed throughthe Arduino IDEusing available libraries. Lining. The so-calledArduino Shields will also collaborate with the module from Adafruit.
On Board is an ATSAMD51 microcontrollerwith the distribution of leads compatible withArduino Uno. Changes that you may notice, when using the module, are:
- MicroUSB connector - the large connector USB-B has been replaced by small convenient microUSB slot
- The color of the board was changed from blue to purple
- The supply voltage from the DC connector is from 7 to 9 V
In order to run the M4 Metro, you must connect the system to computer usingmicroUSB cable. Then, inthe Arduino IDE,install the Adafruit board and choose the Adafuit the M4 Metro board. |
Power
The module can be powered via microUSB cable and an external device, for example, the AC adapter, the battery or the rechargeable battery. Switching the power sources is automatic. The power supply is connected to a standard DC slot. Rechargeable battery or other source should be connected to the pins of the POWER connector.
Programming
Creating and installing software is allowed by the free envitonment supplied by the manufacturer. Implemented bootloader allows you to send the program directly viathe microUSB cable. ISCP connector enables connection of an externalAVR programmer.
