Description
The sensor detects the concentration of CO (carbon monoxide) and flammable gases, the result can be obtained from measuring the voltage at the analogue output. The system is powered by 5 V. The current consumption is approximately 150 mA.It has a digital and analogue output, which makes it compatible with most of theactuating modules including RaspberryPi and Arduino.
Digital output D0
Using the potentiometer plate on the back of the unit, a threshold is set, after which output D0 switches from high to low. Output D0 can be connected directly toa microcontrolleror starter kit including Arduinoor e.g. toa buzzer modulethat willsignal too low or high level of unwanted gases inthe air.
Analogue output A0
The sensor also has an analog output A0, which should be connected to the A/C converter output (analog input in Arduino). This will allow measuring the proportional voltage signal to determine the concentration more precisely.
