Human Presence and Motion Sensor from SparkFun is a module using high-sensitivity infrared technology. It is equipped with a factory- calibrated STHS34PF80 system and is designed to measure the amount of IR radiation emitted by an object in its field of view. The information collected by the sensor is digitally processed by an ASIC that can be programmed to monitor motion, detect presence, or trigger an alarm during excessive temperatures. Thanks to its exceptional sensitivity , the STHS34PF80 can detect human presence from a distance of up to 4 meters (without the need to use an optical lens).
