Description
The device supports the control of fluid flow using a computer or microcontroller, including Raspberry Pi or Arduino. The device is powered with voltage of 12 V. The diameter of the threaded inputs on the water, is 3/4”. The valve is closed by default, the current consumption through the coil is about 350 mA.
In order to fully open the valve, necessary is appropriate water pressure. The minimum pressure is 0.2 bar (20 kPa). This allows for the flow of about 3 L/min. The device works well with tap pressure, for example, in combination with a garden hose. Details can be foundin the documentation.
350 GPH SparkFun pump is not able to create the necessary pressure to fully open the valve.
