Product description: Pressure force sensor FSR-402 - 2kg, round 18mm
The sensor reduces its resistance as the force applied to the round tip increases. Thanks to this phenomenon and the use of a microcontroller with an analog-to-digital converter, it is possible to construct a sensor measuring the pressure force. The measurement can be displayed e.g. on the LCD display.
With no force applied to the sensor, the resistance is approximately 1 MΩ. The placement of a 20-gram object caused the resistance to drop to 50 kΩ. During strong pressing of the sensor, the meter showed 200 Ω.
