Qwiic - connector standard developed by SparkFun company
Qwiic connection system was designed by Sparkfun company. It uses 4-pin connector with 1 mm pitch. It allows quick and easy connection of modules and peripherals such as sensors, actuators, displays and others that use the I2C bus. The main advantages of this system include:
- Eliminating the need for soldering connectors.
- Reducing four one-pin connection wires to one four-pin wire.
- Polarized connectors, preventing miswiring.
- Can be daisy chained for fast bus expansion - most QWIIC modules have a second connector to connect additional boards.
