How does the LD14 LiDAR laser scanner work?
The LiDAR LD14 laser scanner is based on triangulation radar technology. The LD14 distance measurement core uses triangulation technology, which can measure distance 2300 times per second. During each distance, it emits an infrared laser at a fixed angle, and the laser is reflected back to the receiving unit when it encounters an object. Due to the triangulation relationship between the laser, the object and the receiving unit, the LD14 can calculate the distance. After getting the distance data, it will combine the measured angle value to form the point cloud data, and then send the data via wireless communication. The drive unit drives the motor and controls its speed using a closed-loop PID algorithm. The start-stop of the radar can be controlled by its adapter instead of the serial port, which can extend its service life.
