Description
Kit for self-assembly enabling a simple connection of a LCD display 2x16 with blue display to a minicomputer Raspberry Pi. It communicates through the I2C bus and uses only two pins of the GPIO of the Raspberry Pi (6 to control characters + 3 to control lighting). Kit includes also buttons and a potentiometer. The manufacturer has installed the converter, through which the module communicates via the I2C interface, using only two data lines.
The blue backlit display has 16 pins, on the PCB there are 18 holes. The last two are designed for screens RGB, in this case, you should leave them unconnected.
Board is designed for Raspberry Pi revision 1 and 2. Thanks to the included buttons you can create a user interface in a simple way that allows you to control the minicomputer without the need to connect a large monitor. Using Raspberry you can read the logical state of the buttons and display symbols and turn off and turn the backlight.
