Description
Class D amplifier with power of 2 x 55 W with built-in chip DAC 192 kHz / 32 bit. It has the IR receiver. It works as a standalone device. The Amp emits sound via the two wires connecting the speakers, which accept at least 14 AWG cables and provide a clear sound at 4 or 8 Ohms. The amplifier uses the I2C interface for audio input, which reduces the load on the Raspberry Pi CPU in comparison with USB. Thanks to connection to 40-pin GPIO, just one power supply for both devices is sufficient.
The shield has additional leads so that you can expand the project to additional sensors, buttons, LEDs etc. The manufacturer recommends the power of 15 V / 65 W or 24 V / 75 V, for speakers - 8 Ohms.
Software
Manufacturer prepared readysoftware JustBoom Player for Raspberry Pi, in the near future there will be also additional versions of the software that use Spotify, the IR receiver or the Smart receiver. It is compatible withOSMC/RuneAudio/Volumio/Moode/PiCorePlayer/PiMusicBox/OpenELECand the other.
