SparkFun Ardumoto - motor controller - L298 - Arduino shield - SparkFun DEV-14129.
Special features of the controller
- Can individually drive up to two motors , making it ideal as a control component for a two-wheel drive vehicle
- Using directional inputs, the user can control the direction of rotation of the motor
- Each motor uses only two pins: a digital output to determine the direction of rotation and PWM to determine the rotation speed
- The L298 system used allows you to control a motor with an operating voltage ranging from 4.8 V to 35 V with a current consumption of up to 2 A per channel
- Next to each motor output is a pair of blue and yellow LEDs that indicate the direction of motor rotation
