Product description: 3D printer - Original Prusa MK4S - kit for self-assembly
3D printer from the Czech company Prusa , known among 3D printing enthusiasts. The device is based on a 32-bit motherboard and supports Input Shaper and Pressure Advance technologies, which means it can reach speeds of up to twice that of the MK3, without compromising quality. The working area of the printer has dimensions of 250 x 210 x 220 mm , and the entire structure - 500 x 550 x 400 mm. The set consists of elements for self-assembly.
What is new in the MK4S?
Compared to the MK4 model, the MK4S introduces the following innovations:
- New high-performance 360° cooling system
- High-quality high-flow nozzle as standard
- Prusa mobile app for iOS and Android
- Increased print speed
- Even higher print quality
- New parts printed from PC Blend or injection moulded
Improved speed
Use of Input Shaper and Pressure Advance technology in the printer software, it allows you to eliminate vibrations during printing, as well as predict the flow of the filament. This allows the device to reach speeds up to twice as fast as the MK3. According to the manufacturer's tests, the printer is able to print a SpeedBoatRace Benchy in 14 minutes and a ‘Bonkers’ Benchy in 8 minutes. What's more, the MK4S is very quiet even at these speeds.
Exceptional print quality
Durable construction and new precise 0.9 ° Trinamic 2130 stepper motors on the X and Y axes reduce vertical undulations on prints (Vertical Fine Artifact) . Additionally, there are thicker 10mm rods on the Z axis. The result of these improvements is a very good quality of the resulting models, even when using demanding filaments.
High-performance 360° cooling
The MK4S uses an innovative 360° cooling system, which consists of a powerful turbine and improved blowing. This solution ensures free airflow around the print, which is much more efficient than traditional unidirectional fans. This makes it possible to print overhangs of up to 75° without the use of supports. Fewer supports mean shorter print times and less wasted material.
High-flow nozzle
The MK4S is equipped with an innovative high-flow nozzle based on CHT technology. It enables significantly faster printing and at the same time provides longer print durability. Compared to the standard nozzle on the MK4, the new nozzle offers between 50% and 114% better material flow, resulting in significantly improved productivity and print quality.
New extruder
The innovative direct extruder, Nextruder , has many new features, and the auxiliary "LoveBoard", located inside it, ensures quick and easy replacement of parts such as thermistor, fan or heater. In addition, Nextruder uses Quick-swap nozzles and has a Hall sensor that detects the end of the filament.
The perfect first layer
Obtaining a perfectly level table is a real challenge for 3D printers. Fortunately, the Prusa MK4S has a strain gauge built into the head that carries out this process automatically. The nozzle touches the table and moves over the grid of measurement points, measuring the distance and calculating the correct offset. The result is a perfect first coat on any surface, with no manual adjustment required.
Prusa Connect
The MK4S is equipped with WiFi and an Ethernet port, allowing you to control the printer from anywhere using the Prusa Connect platform. Each connected printer has its own dashboard, through which you can control its operation. For added security, communication between the platform and the printer is encrypted.
Prusa mobile app
With the app, you can easily monitor your printers, manage running jobs and remotely start, pause and stop printing wherever you are. In addition, the app allows direct access to Printables, and if your project includes a print-ready file, you can start printing immediately without the need for a slicer.
Other features of the Prusa MK4S 3D printer
- Die-cast aluminum frame
- All-metal filament path, no PTFE tube
- Planetary gear with a ratio of 1:10
- Power panic function
- 4 high precision thermistors
