Thanks to the use of 5.8 GHz radar technology , the sensor detects not only presence and movement, but also minimal fluctuations, such as breathing or minor activities at speeds of just 3 mm / s , which allows for precise and sensitive monitoring of a person's presence in the room. The sensor supports ZigBee communication, which ensures a reliable and fast connection with smart home control units and applications such as Home Assistant, eWeLink, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Alice and IFTTT. The operating range is up to 4 m , and the device offers the possibility of personalizing settings, such as the time to turn off the light after leaving the room. Additionally, the built-in light sensor can turn on the lighting, e.g. only in the dark, which allows for effective energy saving.

Sonoff SNZB-06P sensor operation
The microwave radar sensor uses electromagnetic waves with a frequency of 5.8 GHz , which are emitted by the antenna. These waves are reflected from objects within the sensor's range and returned to the device. By analyzing the time that has passed from sending the waves to receiving them and the changes in the frequency of the reflected signals, the sensor is able to precisely determine the presence, movement and distance of objects in its detection field . Thanks to its high frequency, the microwave radar is characterized by high resolution and sensitivity, which allows effective detection of even small movements.
