Product description: Extension Board - WisBlock IO extension - Rak Wireless RAK5804
IO moduleof WisBlock series, manufactured by Rak Wireless. RAK5804 is a board which extends the WisBlock system with additionalanaloganddigitalinterfaces and also provides a USB communication interface (J4). It has two connectors J2 and J3. In addition, the module is also equipped with PTC thermistor, preventing overload of output power. The extension needs connection toWisBlock Base BoardandWisBlock Coredevelopment modules to work properly.
TheWisBlockseries modules were created thanks to the initiative ofRak Wirelesscompany. They allow to createextended IoT projects, which can be used both in advanced scenarios and in basic projects. The WisBlock system includes: the WisBlockBase Board, the WisBlockCoredeveloper module, the WisBlockSensorsand the WisBlockIO expansionmodules. They are used not only for rapid deployment of engineering prototypes, but are also designed to create massive applications ready for industrial deployment.
WisBlock IO Extensions
WisBlock IOmodules allow you to extend your designs and scenarios with additional interfaces, sensors and communication extensions. They also enable connection of modules from outside the WisBlock series. These include keypads, buttons and displays, third party sensors (e.g. Seeed Grove, SparkFun Qwiic, 1 Click!), communication modules with LTE NB-IoT, WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC or alternative PoE power supplies. They require connection to theWisBlock Coredeveloper module andWisBlock Base Boardto work properly. They are assembled according to the schematic shown in the photo opposite. Before starting, make sure that the module isproperly attached.
The module is equipped with an extension allowing to extend the projects with additional peripherals.
