The RC-GSM module produced by Elektrobim is a controller for garage door operators. Enables remote opening and closing of automated swing gates, sliding gates and garage doors using a smartphone. RC-GSM control module allows you to control the drive from anywhere (which is within range of mobile telephony). The controller is powered by DC voltage in the range of 9 V to 24 V. It is characterized by high versatility, so it works with a wide range of drives, such as ETM or KSE. What is important, the RC-GSM module works on many frequencies - 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz. In addition, it is extremely simple to install and configure, and its operation is easy and trouble-free. For proper operation of the device requires a mini-SIM card to receive calls. The card is not part of the kit, it must be purchased separately.

Question: Hello, the controller during setup sends an SMS confirming the execution of the command sent to it for which a fee is charged to the SIM card installed in the controller. Will the opening or closing of the gate by an authorized no. send such an sms and generate additional costs on the SIM card of the controller, or is it possible to disable this somehow. Greetings
Answer: The device can, during normal operation, send notifications with information about the status of the output relay, and then the SMS will indeed be charged. However, in order for this to happen, this function must be enabled in the controller. By default, it is disabled.

When configuring the device's settings, SMS messages are indeed sent back informing about the status of the execution of the configuration command sent to the controller. But if the PrePaid card runs out of funds, the device will stop sending back these messages, but the commands will be executed normally (except for inquiries about the status of the device, numbers stored on specific positions, GSM network signal strength, etc.). - i.e. all those that require sending back an SMS with the specific information being asked of the controller). It will still be possible to configure the device, such as adding and deleting numbers in the authorized list, but the controller will not send back confirmation of the command execution.
