Product description: Inky Frame 4'' - module with Raspberry Pi Pico W and e-paper display 4'' 640 x 400 px - 7-colors - PiMoroni PIM654
Inky Frame is a proposal from PiMoroni , which is equipped with a Raspberry Pi Pico W and a 7-color EPD e-paper display with a diagonal of 4" . This combination makes the module can be used in many ways - it will serve as an active photo frame , presenter of measurement data or an electronic daily plan. The rich color palette also allows you to display pop art images, comic book panels or neon photos. Below the display, the manufacturer has placed five utility buttons backlit by LEDs, which can be used to interact, e.g. change the displayed content.

Inky Frame 4'' - module with Raspberry Pi Pico W and e-paper display 4'' 640 x 400 px - 7-colors - PiMoroni PIM654 .
Special features of Inky Frame
- Equipped with Raspberry Pi Pico W with dual-core ARM Cortex M0+ clocked at 133 MHz, which has 264 kB of SRAM and 2 MB of QSPI Flash memory supporting XiP
- Supports 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n WiFi wireless communication
- It is powered and programmable via a microUSB connector
- In the central part of the module there is a 4" e-paper display presenting data in ACeP (Advanced Color ePaper) technology.
- It has a built-in PCF85063A RTC clock
- It has five utility buttons that are illuminated by LEDs
- It is equipped with a slot for inserting a microSD memory card
- The module structure includes metal legs, thanks to which the Inky Frame can be placed on a desk in the form of a frame.
- Inky Frame can be powered by a battery and also has an energy-saving function
- E-paper displays work best at room temperatures above approximately 15 °C - if the screen is cold, you may find that colors do not refresh properly
Inky Frame Display
The module is equipped with a multi-color ACeP (Advanced Color ePaper) display, which offers the user not only a wide color spectrum, but also excellent visibility even in high exposure. Moreover, the e-ink e-paper display consumes very little power, hence it can be used in long-term arrangements. Refreshing the display takes about 30 seconds , so the module is best suited for projects that do not require constant refreshing.
Raspberry Pi Pico W - special features
