Description
The device allows you to connect the computer with electronic modules, using the popular data transfer protocols, e.g. SPI, I2C, UART. The Bus Pirate simplifies the process of communication with the new system, makes it easy to detect errors while transmitting data, to check the correct operation of the bus, and to transmit commands. It is especially useful when operating the sensors to verify the flow of data. In addition to the abovelistedfunctions, the system also works as an analyzer of logical states (up to 1 MHz), a frequencysignal generator and a programmer for AVR microcontrollers.
Moduleis installed on the PC as a virtual COM port, so you can control it using any terminal. Built-in bootlader allows you to update the software (firmware). The main elements on the board are the control processor PIC24FJ64 and the converter USB-UART FT232RL. The mini-USB port allows you to connect the system to the computer using a cable. Electronic modules connect via theIDC connectoror viawires. A detailed instructionanda forum of the product help with the control of the Bus Pirate.
