Powered by 12 V , the holding electromagnet holds a mass of 30 kg at a standard acceleration due to gravity of 9.8 m/s 2 . The rated power of the device is 4 W and the current consumption is approximately 340 mA. The magnet in the housing has a mounting hole with an M5 thread (the set includes an appropriate screw). Product dimensions are: 40 x 25 mm. The electromagnet can be used as an actuator of a microcontroller, e.g. Arduino . Due to the excessive power it consumes during operation, it cannot be connected directly to the controller pins. For such a connection, one of the following elements should be used: a relay , an optocoupler or a transistor amplifier .
