- Resistance to voltage - the tools are approved for operation at 1000 V AC and 1500 V DC.
- Compression resistance - VDE products can withstand a point pressure of 20 N after being exposed to 5000 V and heated to 70°C.
- VDE coating on the tool - the VDE insulation coating resists attempts to pull it off the handle with 500 N.
- Low temperature resistance - according to EN/IEC60900, the coating can withstand mechanical impact even at -40°C.
- The IDE insulation: protects against accidental damage and scratches during operation of aluminium and copper surfaces.
- Fire resistant properties - the tools do not ignite, even if they stay at least 10 seconds in a 12 cm flame.
