Description: Adafruit NeoPixel 1/4 Ring - quarter ring LED RGB 15 x WS2812 5050
The ring quarter consists of 12 individually addressed RGB LEDs WS2812 5050 with integrated control unit. Module needs one microcontroller output. The outer diameter of the circle consisting of four parts is 158.0 mm. Each LED consumes about 18 mA, it is expected that in this case, the quarter gives a total value of approx. 270 mA, full circle gets 1100 mA. The circuit is supplied with the voltage of 5 V.
Full ring with a diameter of 158 mm, consisting of four parts - 60 LEDs.
The used communication Protocol allows the serial connection of the LEDs. Another circuit should be connected to the output connector, combining with each other respectively, 5V, GND, DOUT and DIN. The manufacturer notes that when working with more than 500 LEDs, there may not be enough RAM in the Arduino Unosystem.
Connection
The device has four terminals:- GND - module's ground
- VCC supply voltage 18 mA current for one diode
- IN the digital control signal from the microcontroller
- OUT - output to connect the next ring
The product is compatible with Arduino and Raspberry Pi The product works with the NeoPixel library from Adafruit:
