SMD resistors for measuring transducers
Resistors are elements which, although they are very simple to use, are, despite appearances, very versatile. Using a single operational amplifier and a 200Ω resistor, we can build a converter that converts current to a voltage signal. The non-inverting input of the amplifier should be shorted to ground, and the 200Ω resistor should be connected between the inverting input and the output of the amplifier. The source current is applied to the inverting input. According to Ohm's law, the voltage at the output of such an amplifier is 200 times the scaled value of the current supplied to its inverting input.
Removing SMD resistors from PCB boards
In many electronic devices, both those created for consumer and professional use, there is a possibility of a fault. If you have diagnosed faulty components, such as resistors, they need to be replaced. To remove SMD resistors, heat them with hot air at about 350°C while holding the component with tweezers. After soldering out an SMD resistor, clean the solder pads by running the heated soldering iron tip over them through a copper braid soaked in flux.
