Product description: Pololu DRV8835 - 2-channel motor controller 11V/1,2A - shield for Arduino
Module based on DRV8835 chip allows to control motors with supply voltage up to 11 V and continuous current up to 1.2 A. The controller can also withstand several seconds of current surges up to 1.5 A. The speed can be controlled using a PWM signal.
Dual motor controller in connection with Arduino. Arduino can bepurchased separately.
In combination with Arduino, using specially prepared library, it is possible to easily control speed and direction of rotation of two DC motors. The shape and pinouts of the board allow direct connection with Arduino, as shown in the figures above. The circuit uses pins 7, 8, 9 and 10, the last two being PWM signal for speed control.
Compatible with Arduino Manufacturer provides library for Arduino users. |
Operating modes
The controller can operate in two modes: basic PHASE/ENABLE and advanced IN/IN. Selection is done by the MODE pin. Differences between modes are shown in tables below.
