Multifunctional environmental sensor from DFRobot, which includes two systems: ENS160, corresponding to the air quality sensor, and BME280 , which is responsible for temperature , humidity and pressure measurement. The module communicates via the I2C interface bus. The sensor is compatible with the Arduino microcontroller, and the connection with it is possible thanks to the solder pads to which the goldpin connectors included in the kit should be soldered.
The sensor has pins in the form of solder pads that allow it to be connected to the controller module.

ENS160 sensor in the DFRobot SEN0335 module
The SEN0335 board uses the ENS160 sensor, which is a digital air quality sensor that uses metal oxides as a detection material to detect volatile organic substances in the air. The sensor microcontroller has a built-in ADC converter and an I2C bus link. The design of the sensor uses the technology of microplates, which is characterized by high reliability, short time between individual measurement cycles and significantly reduced energy consumption, which is crucial in battery-powered applications. An integrated microcontroller manages the sensor operation and its measurement modes in real time. Thanks to the use of the I2C interface, the design of the sensor and its software are significantly simplified to the necessary minimum and ensure compatibility with platforms such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino. In addition, the sensor microcontroller has the algorithm installed to process raw measurement data, allowing for the precise estimation of the concentrations of carbon dioxide and volatile organic substances separately.
BME280 sensor in the DFRobot SEN0335 module
In addition to the air purity sensor ENS160, the DFRobot SEN0335 module also has a built-in multi-functional BME280 sensor, which is responsible for measuring humidity, pressure and ambient temperature. The BME280 sensor is enclosed in a metal housing with dimensions of 2.50 x 2.50 x 0.93 mm. Small dimensions and low power consumption enable the use of this sensor in portable battery-powered applications. The BME280 sensor provides high measurement accuracy in a wide range of measured values of humidity, pressure and temperature. As a result, the sensor output can also be used to compensate other temperature and humidity sensors. The sensor response time is very short, making it suitable for mission-critical measurement applications.
