Description
Audio detector powered with the voltage ranging from 3.5 to 5.5 V. The module is easy to use, it has three independent output signals: analog - digital Gate - Envelope and the Audio output. The Board has an amplifier of the Rail-to-Rail signal - system LMV324.

Connection
The module has five pins: power pins VCC and GND, to which connected has to be the voltage of 3.5 V - 5 V, and three output jacks: Gate, Audio and Envelope, see description below.
The Envelope outputallows you to measure the amplitude of sound signal, it is the analog output which must be connected to an analog input of any microcontroller equipped with converter of A/C-including analog pinsof Arduino.
The Gate output that allows detection of exceeding the previously installed threshold of the signal amplitude. This is a digital output that is connected to any digital pin of output/input. The exceeding of the threshold, is indicated by the LED on board.
The sensitivity of the module is controlled by soldering the resistor R17. By default it is set to a value of 100 k (amplification of 40 dB) via the resistor R3 in the circuit. Detailed information, along with sample arrays, can be found inthe tutorial (configuration)on the website of the company SparkFun.
The Audio outputis an analog sound signal that can be connected, for example, to a headset or speakers.
All pins are the holes for goldpin connectors - 2.54 mm pitch. If any of the outputs is not used, you can leave them unconnected. The module has holes with a diameter of 3 mm, facilitating the mounting of the board. |
