Consumables for Makyu Thermoformer
The presented product is a cartridge for vacuum thermoforming with a machine named Makyu Formbox. A special chemical composition of Mayku Cast Sheets - 0.5 mm translucent sheets - makes them suitable for direct contact with food, e.g. as moulds for intriguing chocolate casts.
The small thickness of the material enables easy moulding with a small vacuum generated by any vacuum cleaner connected to the thermoformer. The ecological process of manufacturing transparent Makyu Cast Sheets uses... recycled materials, which is an additional advantage for those who care about the environment.
The thermoforming process
Thermoforming consists in heating a sheet of material to a temperature that ensures its appropriate ductility, and then stretching it onto a previously prepared model (mould) using negative pressure transmitted under the sheet thanks to the perforated surface of the working table.
Makyu Formbox thermoforming machine is an excellent supplement to 3D printer's workshop, because the details forming the material can be prepared using a conventional 3D printer.
