Product description: Dust / air purity sensor PM2.5 - 5V UART - PlanTower PMS9103M
Dust sensor module allows to determine the degree of air purity. It measures the concentration of PM2.5 particles. It can detect particles with a diameter of up to 0.3 μm, which include cigarette smoke and vehicle exhaust. The PMS9103M requires a 5 V stabilised voltage supply. The sensor communicates with the microcontroller via the UART interface, which operates at 3,3 V logical level.
Connection of the module
The sensor has 8 outputs, 6 of which have active functions. A detailed description of the individual pins can be found in the table below:
Pin | Description |
---|---|
Pin 1 (VCC) | 5 V power supply. |
Pin 2 (GND) | The weight of the device. |
Pin 3 (SET) | Change to normal / sleep mode. |
Pin 4 (RDX) | Serial receiver pin / TTL level at 3.3 V. |
Pin 5 (TXD) | Serial transmission pin / TTL level at 3.3 V. |
Pin 6 (RESET) |
Reset. Works at 3.3 volts. |
Pin 7 (NC) |
(Inactive) |
Pin 8 (NC) |
(Inactive) |
Voltage on the signal lines RX, TX, RESET, SET must not exceed 3.3 V. When controlling the module at higher voltage, we recommend using a voltage converter. |
