Product description: Adafruit QT Py ESP32 Pico - WiFi module with STEMMA QT / Qwiic connector - 8MB Flash - Adafruit 5395
A small Adafruit QT Py module equipped with a dual-core ESP32 Pico chip, clocked at 240 MHz. It has 8 MB Flash memory and 2 MB PSRAM . Enables wireless communication via WiFi 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth v4.2 / Bluetooth LE. The module has a USB type C connector, used for power supply and communication via the built-in UART converter - CH9102F. The board also has a STEMMA QT connector, as well as Reset and Boot buttons and a NeoPixel LED. The shape and layout of the pins are consistent with Seeed Xiao modules. The available communication interfaces include : ADC, DAC, PWM, I2C, UART, SPI, I2S, capacitive button connectors and GPIO. The system can be programmed in the Arduino or ESP IDF environment.
The module is compatible with Arduino IDE and ESP IDF!
The manufacturer has prepared a user guide with installation instructions in the Arduino environment .
The shape and layout of the pins are consistent with Seeed Xiao modules.
Main features of the ESP32 Pico system
- The dual-core Xtensa LX6 processor - with a clock frequency of up to 240 MHz ensures smooth operation even in the most demanding applications.
- Built-in Flash memory - the PICO-V3-02 version includes 8 MB Flash memory for program storage and 2 MB PSRAM.
- Wireless communication - WiFi 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n module and Bluetooth v4.2 / Bluetooth LE significantly expand the capabilities of the designed devices.
- A rich set of interfaces - including GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, PWM, ADC, DAC, TWAI, SD/SDIO/MMC Host, PWM motor controller.
- Low power consumption - up to 5 µA in Deep-sleep mode and up to 68mA in Modem-sleep mode (WiFi / Bluetooth module turned off).
QT Py ESP32 Pico pins available
In addition to 14 pins in the form of Castellated Holes, the board has additional pins and connectors for both power supply and communication:
- USB Type-C - main power supply of the system with 5 V and USB 2.0 communication via the built-in CH9102F converter.
- STEMMA QT connector - a connector with an I2C interface popular in Adafruit devices, allowing connection to sensors and other devices without the need for soldering.
- GND and VBAT pins - located on the underside of the board, allowing power supply from a battery with a voltage of 3 V to 6 V
The Adafruit Qt Py ESP32 Pico module is also equipped with:
- Reset button - used to reset the ESP32 system
- Boot button - enabling entry into bootloader mode. It is also possible to use it as a regular GPIO button.
- NeoPixel RGB diode - RGB diode based on the WS2811 system. The manufacturer has prepared a special Arduino library to support it.
