Description: Peltier cell TEC1-12706 12V / 6A

The chilling cell used, for example, in portable refrigerators. It's supplied with the voltage of up to 12 V, it consumes up to 6 A current. Board sizes - 40 x 40 x 4 mm.

 

A device consists of two boards connected byp-n connectors, on the one side, it consumes the heat in a way to give it back from another side. A detailed description of the operating principles of the Peltierphenomenon and making of the cells can be found onthis webpage.

 

To improve the performance and protection level of the cell, recommended is attaching a radiator at the hot side.

I admit I'm surprised how well it pumps heat. You should remember about a very good heat dissipation from the hot side, otherwise it will heat up quickly and on the colder side there will even be a positive temperature. With proper heat dissipation, it works fantastic;)
