The LiPo Charger Plus is a charger for single-cell lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries with a nominal voltage of 3.7 V, featuring a modern USB Type-C input. With an input voltage range of 3.75 V to 6 V, it enables charging with a current of up to 1000 mA (1 A). The module provides thermal protection for both the charger IC and, optionally, the battery itself, and is equipped with LED indicators to display the current charging status.

The SparkFun LiPo Charger Plus is a charging module designed for single-cell lithium polymer batteries with a nominal voltage of 3.7 V. The module utilizes the MCP73833 controller, supporting charging currents of up to 1000 mA and featuring dual thermal protection. Built-in LEDs indicate power status, charging in progress, and charge completion. The default charge current is 1000 mA (via a 1 kΩ resistor), which can be adjusted by replacing the resistor according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. The charger features a USB Type-C connector and a JST connector for the battery, making it a convenient solution for mobile and IoT projects.
