Description of propeller parameters
Propellers have different markings, e.g. 10 x 4.5, 7 x 3.7, 8 x 4. How do you read them?
These numbers indicate parameters expressed in inches. The former indicates the diameter of the propeller, while the latter is the pitch the propeller will travel at full rotation:
- A x B
- A - propeller diameter (Diameter)
- B - full throttle jump (Pitch)
Pitch can be understood as the distance covered by a flying machine after one full rotation of the propeller (under ideal conditions at zero weight). This parameter means the same for the screw thread.
