PLA Filament - safe for the environment
The very good physical properties of the Velleman PLA filament in red allow it to be used as a raw material for the production of objects that require appropriate mechanical strength. Moreover, during printing, the PLA filament emits fumes that are a side effect of melting, but they are non-toxic. Thanks to this, if we print with PLA filament, it is not necessary to connect additional equipment in the form of an exhaust fan with a HEPA filter.
PLA 3D Printing Cooling
When printing objects on a 3D printer using PLA filament, phase changes of the state of matter occur. When the filament is pressed through the extruder mechanism, the filament melts, changing its form from solid to partially liquid. Then, the filament is precisely distributed layer by layer. As a result of this process, the distributed Velleman PLA filament solidifies. The correct solidification of the filament depends on the efficiency of the printer's cooling fan. The more efficient the cooling, the faster the subsequent layers of the filament will solidify, which in turn brings the geometry of the physical object closer to its "ideal", digital counterpart.
