Resin printing in brief - SLA, MSLA, DLP
3D printing from resin uses light-cured photopolymers. They are the secret to obtaining smooth prints in models, where some are surprised by the LCD parameter of even 9K or 12K. This means sharper edges, better reproduction of microscopic elements and smoother surfaces. In SLA (Stereolithography), the laser scans the liquid resin layer by layer and hardens it pointwise. It is characterized by high accuracy, but is slower than other methods. In DLP (Digital Light Processing), the cross-section of the layer is exposed to a projector, which speeds up the process compared to SLA. MSLA (Masked SLA), on the other hand, is based on an LCD matrix with UV backlight for simultaneous hardening of layers, offering the speed of DLP at low costs. In fact, the achievements of all these technologies are equivalent and thanks to them, all of them are used in printing precise models, prototypes and elements with high detail.
