Description
The encoder generates a signal in Gray code which you can interpret using a microcontroller e.g. Arduino and read the direction and speed of a rotating shaft. Allows you to add feedback to the engine control systems. Such encoders are often used in the balancing robots, can also be used as a very accurate knob. The resolution is 1024 pulses per revolution. The maximum rotation speed is 6000 rpm.
