Description
A module to add measurement of ambient light intensity to the system of smart clothes Adafruit Flora. Applied sensor TSL2561 runs in the range of from 0.1 to 40K+, it is powered with a voltage of 3 V, it is communicating through the I2C bus.
The module communicates via the digital communication I2C interface (lines: SDA and SCL). It works with a voltage of 3 V, which means that you can connect it directly to the main controller from Adafruit Florawithconductive threads.
Sensor TSL2561
Among other sensors of this type, the TSL2561 features a linear characteristic in the range of visible to the human eye, wavelengths of light. For best approximation, it measures the intensity of infrared light. The sensor has two analog-to-digital converters (ADC) which integrate the currents simultaneously with two built-in photodiodes. By changing the integration time, it is possible to measure both small and large intensity of the incident light.
