Description
A small module from a family of Feather-based system nRF52832. Feather is designed for portable projects. It works with myNewt software. Board has a small size (51 x 23 x 8 mm), can be powered by voltage from USB port or rechargeable battery 3,7 V LiPol. The module has a Bluetooth LE system, providing wireless programming.
Mobile projects
Controller Feather is designed for mobile projects. Thanks to the integrated connector, it is possible to power it from the rechargeable LiPol battery 3.7 V. The battery voltage was led through an analog pin so you can constantly monitor the state of charge of the lipol. Also available is powering from the microUSB port.
Programming
Unlike other Feather modules, nRF52 does not support the Arduino IDE. The board is for Apache Mynewtsystem. On the Board is the SWD connector and an additional button DFU. Tools, on which Mynewt is based, are based on the POSIX systems (Linux, OS X, Mingw, etc.). Built-in bootloader allows you to save the software directly on the device from the level of the command line using the built-in converter USB-UART and newtmgrtools. For programming, you can use the application for AndroidoriOS.
The module has twice more power than the previous nRF51 system. Additional memory allows you to run operating systems of the real time (RTOS) to quickly create complex projects. It has professionally written Internet suites (BLE 5.0, OIC/OCF, etc.), development tools and professional functions of project management, for example, the protected bootloader that allows you to cryptographically sign the firmware and test them during the upgrade.
The manufacturer also provides an app for iOS, which allows for remote programming and updating the tasks in taks manager, and view statistics generated by the internal reporting system.
