Product Description: TVOC Gas Sensor - MOX - AGS02MA I2C - Adafruit 5593
A module from Adafruit in the form of a TVOC gas sensor . It was equipped with the AGS02MA system and a small MOX sensor - a heated metal oxide changes resistance based on volatile organic compounds (TVOC) in the air, thanks to which it can detect the presence of gases. The sensor also has a miniature ADC , responsible for converting data from the I2C signal in order to obtain the resistance at the output, which is then converted into a value in the form of ppb. The higher the ppb value, the more organic compounds there are in the air. The sensor only detects the concentration of gases in the air - it does not distinguish between them, so using it it is impossible to tell which of the gases has been detected . The module is intended for educational and hobby purposes.

The manufacturer notes that the sensor operates at a frequency of 20 kHz I2C, which is lower than other chipsets. The module has been tested and works with boards equipped with RP2040, ESP32 and ATmega328 (UNO) microcontrollers. However, other chips such as SAMD21 and SAMD51 do not work with this module because they do not support its operating frequency.
It includes a built-in AGS02MA chip and an ADC converter.
