Product description: CAN FD Expansion HAT - 2 channel CAN FD isolated overlay - for Raspberry Pi - Waveshare 17075
The CAN FD Expansion HAT is a CAN bus expansion overlay manufactured by Waveshare. It supports original CAN 2.0 protocol and CAN FD extension with higher data rate. It has up to two channels. With many built-in protection circuits, including 500W surge protection, ESD protection, short circuit protection and electrical isolation, communication is definitely safer and much more reliable. The CAN FD Expansion HAT has two chips built in: MCP2518FD - CAN controller, and MCP2562FD - bus transmitter-receiver.
CAN FD Expansion HAT and Raspberry Pi connection. Only the overlay is sold - Raspberry Pi needs to be purchased separately.
Product compatible with Raspberry Pi and Arduino!
The manufacturer provides a product wiki page, which contains sample program code and instructions for connecting the overlay, among other things.
