Product description: USB-UART TTL converter PL2303 - USB type C socket - Waveshare 20645
Converter allowing communication between USB and UART serial interfaces at TTL level. Equipped with PL2303 chip, visible in the operating system as a virtual COM port. Operates at 1.8V / 2.5V / 3.3V / 5V, selectable via jumper. The device operates at full USB speed of 12 Mbps.
Attention!
The module is compatible ONLY with TTL level, to avoid damage do not connect it directly to RS232 circuit.
Special features of the converter
- Single chip USB to UART data transfer
- No external resistors required
- USB function controller complies with USB 2.0 specification; full speed 12 Mbps
- The module can be used to exchange data between a computer and a microcontroller system or to program boards with a derived serial interface, e.g. Arduino or STM32Discovery
- In the operating system it is visible as a virtual COM port
- It has 3 LEDs indicating power supply, sending and receiving data
