Product description: U1V10F3 - 3.3V 1.2A step-up converter - Polol 2563
A controller that increases the voltage from 0.5 to 5.5 V to a constant value of 3.3 V. When 3.3 V is exceeded at the input, the system automatically switches to rope mode of the voltage reducing regulator. The efficiency of the inverter is 70 - 90 % depending on the specified input voltage. To protect against overheating, the module switches off automatically when its temperature exceeds 140 °C. We also offer a versionwith an output voltage of 5 V.
Outputs
The module has three outputs:
- VIN- input voltage from 0.5 V to 5.5 V, please pay attention toshort voltage pulses that may damage the system
- GND- mass potential
- VOUT -output voltage
The connectors are properly signed on the board. 2.54 mm leadout Raster - popular connectorsgoldpin, allow the module to be mounted incontact plateorconnectionby means of cables.
System efficiency
Efficiency is defined as the ratio of output power to input power (Power out)/(Power in). This is a very important parameter when working with portable energysources(batteries and accumulators), where the time of operation on one charging cycle counts. The efficiency of this pulse system is about 70 % - 90 %. The output current depends on the input voltage, details on the diagram:
Efficiency and output current of the system at an output voltage of 3,3 V.
Dangerous voltage pulses
When connecting the power supply to the module, dangerous, short, high amplitude eclectic impulses (so-called pins) may appear, which may permanently damage the system. According to Polol's tests, for input voltage above 4.5 V, the pins may have an amplitude high enough to damage the module. In order to protect against this unwanted phenomenon it is recommended to solder a capacitor of at least 33 uF as close as possible to the pins powering the converter.

Miniature DC/DC converter for various applications
A miniature, high-quality DC/DC converter for voltage boosting, manufactured by Polol, catalogue number 2563. The small module dimensions and 2.54 mm mounting pad raster allow the converter to be used in some situations even in place of the 78xx family of stabilisers.
The current consumption of the inverter does not exceed 1 mA, which makes it easy to use the module in devices powered by a battery or accumulator. The input voltage should be between 0.5 V and 5.5 V and the output voltage is factory set to 3.3 V. The maximum current consumption is 1.2 A.
For power recovery systems and radio modules
U1V10F3 - 3.3V 1.2A step-up converter - Polol 2563 is ideal for single lithium-polymer cell powered devices as well as one, two or three series AA or AAA cells.
Wide range of input voltages enables effective use of low-voltage energy sources with a wide range of voltage variability. All kinds of energy recovery systems (e.g. solar batteries) can be an example. The output voltage of 3.3 V makes the presented step up converter can directly power various radio modules (e.g. FiPy ESP32) and microcontrollers (including STM32).
