What is an E-Paper E-Ink?
E-Paperdisplays use electrophoretic microcapsule technology for display: charged particles suspended in a transparent liquid will move to the sides of the microcapsule when an electric field is applied, making the microcapsule visible by reflecting ambient light, just like traditional printed paper. The E-Paper display clearly displays images/texts under lamplight or natural light, requires no backlight, and has a viewing angle of nearly 170°. This type of display is usually used in e-book readers because of its paper-like effect.

The offered product is a display made with modern E-paper technology. The screen is designed to be used as a monitor for Raspberry Pi Pico minicomputer. The device has been manufactured by Waveshare. The manufacturer is famous for producing high quality accessories for minicomputers such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino or Micro:bit.
E-paper display is a great tool for people who stare at the screen for a long time, at still images. This type of screen does not cause eye fatigue, and in addition is very energy efficient. The device consumes energy only when the state of the pixels changes (the image changes) - a fixed image does not require any energy input.
