The LC76G module from Waveshare is an advanced GNSS navigation board , supporting GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS systems. It is capable of simultaneous positioning using multiple systems or independent positioning within one system. This module supports EPO and EASY technologies , which enable faster, more accurate and more efficient positioning. It communicates via UART and I2C interfaces, so it can be connected, for example, to Raspberry Pi or Arduino . It also has a built-in low-noise LNA amplifier that increases the sensitivity of signal reception and supports the 1PPS time synchronization function . An active ceramic antenna is connected to the module.

The product is compatible with Raspberry Pi, Arduino and ESP32.

EPO and EASY technology

The module uses EPO (Extended Predictive Orbit) and EASY (Embedded Assist System) technologies for quick positioning. EPO enables orbit prediction of GNSS satellites up to 30 days , which shortens the first launch time by using stored orbital data, even in difficult signal reception conditions. EASY, on the other hand, stores satellite ephemeris data in the module's memory , which allows you to run positioning without the need to download this data from external sources each time. These technologies allow for faster positioning and increase accuracy after turning on the module.
