Product description: Qwiic dual-channel motor driver - 11 V / 1.2 A - SparkFun ROB-15451
Dual channel DC motor driver module. Continuous current per channel is 1.2 A (temporary up to 1.5 A) . The device uses the I2C serial communication bus. The module is equipped with Qwiic connectors and screw connections. The controller can be supplied with the voltage from 3 V to 11 V. The logical voltage is 3.3 V.
The manufacturer provides a detailed user guide for the module with sample code for Arduino .
Two-channel driver for Qwiic motors - 11 V / 1.2 A - SparkFun ROB-15451 .
Qwiic system - what is it?
Qwiic Connect by SparkFun is an ecosystem of sensors based on the I2C communication bus, actuators, and cables with dedicated plugs. This solution simplifies the prototyping process. All boards supporting Qwiic use a common, 4-pin JST connector with a spacing of 1 mm. This reduces the amount of space required on the PCB, and polarized connectors cannot be misconnected.
The output of the module
The module has outputs in the form of two Qwiic connectors and screw connections (double and quadruple) located on the opposite edges of the board:
- VIN (MAX 11 V) - power supply for engines +
- GND - system ground -
- A1 - (type: O) connection # 1 of motor A
- A2 - (type: O) connection 2 of the A motor
- B1 - (type: O) connection no.1 motor D
- B2 - (type: O) connection no.2 motor D
