Sony IMX219 8MPx autofocus camera module - for Raspberry Pi - ArduCam B0182
Arducam B0182 camera module equipped with Sony IMX219 optical sensor and "fish eye" lens has been designed according to the hardware specification of standard V2 camera for Raspberry Pi mini-computer. The focus of the image is software-assisted, maintenance-free, but it can also be manually controlled with buttons. The Arducam B0182 camera can be successfully used in applications such as remote-controlled vehicles, drones, macrorails, as well as industrial monitoring systems. The manufacturer provides the program code, which also enables the autofocus mode to work with the camera in cooperation with the NVIDIA Jetson Nano computer.
A fisheye lens - wide range of field of view and interesting visual effects
The Sony IMX219 camera uses a fish-eye lens, which has a much wider angle of view than traditional wide-angle lenses. An important constructional difference is also the degree of image deformation. Standard wide-angle lenses capture the image so as to ensure negligible distortion. The "fish eye" lens, on the other hand, gives the image an oval shape, thus giving the impression of curvature. This makes the Sony IMX219 mini camera ideal for nature photography and extreme sports.
