What is the practical significance of the memory card speed class?

When choosing an EMTEC memory card, it is worth paying attention to a particularly important parameter, which is the write speed of the memory card. If you use professional photo equipment (e.g. SLR cameras) and save high-resolution photo files (e.g. RAW format), then the higher the write speed of the memory card, the better. This approach allows for shorter time intervals between individual photos, which is also important when taking photos with a long exposure time. Top-speed memory cards also perform well for direct high-definition movie recording. However, if you need a memory card for a smartphone or MP3 player, the speed class of the card is not a priority parameter. Class 10 memory cards are recommended for use in equipment for recording movies in Full HD resolution, while memory cards made in class 4 are sufficient for HD video recording.
