Programming the board using CircuitPython and Python
The Adafruit DS2484 adapter lets you easily program and control 1-Wire devices over I2C in Python and CircuitPython. The key component is the Adafruit_CircuitPython_DS248x library, which lets you read data from sensors like the DS18B20. To get started, install the library with the command:
pip3 install adafruit-circuitpython-ds248x .
For CircuitPython users, simply copy the necessary files to the lib folder on the CIRCUITPY drive. There are also ready-made projects available in the form of a "Project Bundle", containing sample code and all required libraries.
