While energy-saving technologies in electronics are gaining ground, it is unlikely that mechanical cooling devices will ever be completely abandoned. Currently, in this area, apart from liquid cooling systems, fans installed in casings are most often used. Although most electronic devices are sufficient to function properly passive cooling, provided by both radiation and convection (heat "escapes up") and conduction (heat is dissipated through paths and vias on the PCB), the controls, processors and high computing power, power amplifiers or power supply systems, however, can generate large amounts of heat that cannot be dissipated using simple methods. For this reason, the best solution is to use the appropriate fans. In this category, we offer a wide range of fans that significantly support the cooling process and heat dissipation in computers and other electronic devices.

Most often, the supply voltage is enough to start the fan - in the case of small fans, the supply voltage is usually 12V, less often 5V or even less. A typical computer fan (used, for example, to cool a processor or graphics card) is powered by 12V. However, the sizes of fans vary. The specifications most often provide the external dimensions of the fan casing, e.g. 80x80 means that the casing has a square base with sides of 8 cm.
Fans - efficient cooling system
To know how to connect a fan, just follow a simple rule. Before selecting a fan for the device you are building or repairing, make sure that the hole spacing (given in the description) matches the spacing in the target application. In the case of simple fans, there are only two power cables (red "+" and black "-"). If our fan has a third, yellow wire - most often it is a pulse output, allowing you to measure the fan speed by counting the frequency of pulses appearing synchronously with the fan rotation.
Fans with air flow regulation
Forced air movement is one of the most effective cooling methods. A solid fan is a device necessary to survive hot summer days. Our offer includes 230V standing fans with air flow regulation and automatic oscillation function - it works especially well in larger rooms. Devices with an oscillation function ensure even cooling of the air. However, if you need a small fan for your room or office, a mini desk fan will be a convenient option. And for people who never leave their computer, a USB fan will bring relief on summer days.
Mounting fans - FAQ
The fan in your computer is part of the cooling system. It allows the heat generated during device operation (especially hot components such as the graphics card or processor) to be dissipated into the environment, which may negatively affect the operation of the equipment.
Special mounting fans are installed on the housings of electronic devices, such as microcontroller boards or computers. Most often, they draw power from a cooled system. We offer a wide selection of mounting fans for various types of equipment.
If the fan originally installed in the equipment is not efficient enough, you can replace it with another model that will be better suited for demanding applications. A cooling pad that dissipates heat from the outside of the case may also be a good solution.
