Find a large selection of tools necessary for the proper use of any electrical meter. Meters are one of the most basic instruments used by electronics and robotics engineers in their everyday work. Appropriate probes, connected for example to a multimeter, determine the correct reading of values measured by the device. Depending on the quality of the socket and the place of contact with the tested device, various degrees of accuracy can be obtained.

Meter probes
The accuracy of the measurements obtained depends on the material and accuracy of the probes and plug (and the socket in the meter). The materials often used in production have a real impact on the durability of the product. The Botland store offers only proven products made by renowned companies supplying distributors around the world.
Appropriate insulation matters - test leads
Properly insulated probe cables and properly insulated places where the user grips the probe are the basis for safety. Even minor inaccuracies in production, which could result in contact of the user's skin with the conductor carrying the measured voltage, may pose a threat to health or even life.
Colors help electronics
Properly colored probes and wires can significantly facilitate the work of an electronics engineer and help him avoid making mistakes. Passing current through the meter incorrectly may cause permanent damage (for example, accidentally changing the direction of current flow through the meter due to the change of ground and plus).
Appropriate tips and connectors make measurements easier
Depending on the selected model, our products offer various types of solutions. Some of the probes have a sharp tip, which is perfect for measurements on small elements (for example, a printed circuit board with a system based on SMD elements).
Another popular tip is the so-called "crocodile clips" - these are metal tips appropriately encased in flexible insulation, which can "catch" thin objects. These are tools that work on a similar principle to clothespins used to hang laundry. Thanks to them, you can easily, for example, grab a fragment of the electronic system (e.g. a piece of the resistor leg connected to ground) and use your free hands to control the meter and apply the other end of the cable to other elements of the system.
Banana connectors are also a great help - they make the probes even more universal and resistant to different types of sockets in meters. These are elongated plugs that adapt to the size of the socket and at the same time press against its walls, ensuring accurate and stable connection and signal transmission.
We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the entire range of the measuring devices category, which includes, among others: universal multimeters , resistance meters and function generators . Our assortment also includes an oscilloscope. Current product prices, delivery and other information can be found in the description or order summary.
Meter probes - FAQ
Measuring probes can be divided according to several criteria, for example their purpose for measuring a given quantity (probes for measuring temperature, electrical quantities , physical dimensions, etc.) or the method of communication (wired and wireless probes).
