Gas sensor module with integrated MiCS-5524 chip, made in MEMS technology. Detects concentration and leakage of gases such as carbon monoxide (CO), methane (CH4), ethanol (C2H5OH), propane (C3H8), butane (C4H10), hydrogen (H2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and ammonia (NH3). The sensor only detects the concentration of gases in the air, but does not distinguish between the types of gases. Using it, it is not possible to determine which gas has been detected. The module is intended for educational and hobby purposes. Proper functioning in medical, protective or similar applications is not guaranteed.

Leads description and example circuit diagram

The module is equipped with soldering fields, where you can solder included goldpin strip - 2,54 mm pitch. The sensor cooperates with all control boards supplied with voltage in range d 3,3 V to 5,5 V - including Arduino and related boards. The components should be connected according to the following relationships:

  • 5V - supply voltage 5 V
  • GND - system ground
  • A0 - output signal - analog voltage.
  • En - low state causes the system to go into low power state. The circuit is switched on by default.
