Product description: Fermion - pulse oximeter and heart rate sensor - MAX30102 - I2C - DFRobot SEN0344
Sensor module with integrated MAX30102 chip from DFRobot. This is an integrated pulse oximetry biosensor module that allows you to measure your heart rate and monitor your saturation level, or SpO2. The module is based on PPG (Photo Plethysmo Graphy). Its small size means that it can be placed on your finger (as a finger pulse oximeter) or worn on your wrist for data.
Arduino compatible product
The manufacturer has prepared a detailed user guide that includes connection instructions and sample program code. There is also a diagram explaining how to read the pulse oximeter results.
Sensor pins description and connection scheme
Leads of the sensor are soldering fields, to which you should solder included goldpin connectors - 2,54 mm raster. Module is compatible with Arduino and related boards (to be purchased separately). It is necessary to connect the leads with the controller board according to the following dependencies:
- 3V3 - power supply
- GND - system ground
- SCL - I2C communication interface clock line
- SDA - data line of I2C communication interface
- RST - Reset pin
- NC - empty pin
- 3V3 - power supply
- GND - system ground
- RX - serial port line
- TX - pin transmitted through the serial port
- INT - interrupt pin (Pulse during pulse and blood oxygen update)
- NC - empty pin
Notes during use
- It is recommended to mount the sensor on the finger (as a finger pulse oximeter) during measurement to avoid the influence of pressure change on the data output
- Fix the sensor on your finger with a rubber band
- The product is not a professional medical device - it should not be used as an accessory in medical diagnosis and treatment of diseases
