reTerminal is a device designed by SeeedStudio. It is based on a moduleRaspberry Pi Compute Module 4with quad-core ARM Cortex A72 clocked at 1.5 GHzand a 5"touchscreenwith aresolution of 1280 x 720 px. It has built-in4 GB of RAMand32 GB of eMMCmemory on which you can install the operating system. The board is also equipped withWiFi dual-band 2.4 GHz / 5 GHzcommunication interface andBluetooth 5.0 LE. The reTerminal is also equipped with high-speed I/O interfaces, a cryptographic coprocessor for hardware memory security. It also has built-in modules such as accelerometer, light sensor, RTC,Gigabit Ethernetport for high-speed Internet connection and twoUSB 2.0ports. On the side of reTerminal module's case there is a40-pinconnectorcompatible with Raspberry Pi. The device was equipped by manufacturer with Raspberry Pi OS. reTerminal is alsoMicrosoft Azure certified.

The reTerminal module can serve as the heart of yourIoT/Edge system.It allows connecting different types of sensors via wireless protocol such as LoRa, ZigBee, WiFi, Bluetooth, Sub-1G and reTerminal is connected to the cloud via Ethernet Gigabit or WiFi 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz. Its modular design allows you to connectadditional devicesvia a 40-pin GPIO connector compatible withRaspberry Pipinouts. Devices such as microphone and speaker for speech recognition, camera, industrial I/O, LoRaWAN, 5G/4G and PoE can be connected to the connector.
The modular design of the reTerminal
On the side of reTerminal's modular design, a number of interfaces are placed to minimize the design. It features a USB Type-C connector for powering the device, a Gigabit Ethernet port for high-speed Internet connectivity,a microHDMIinterface that supports 4K video at 60 fps, and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports. Additionally, the device features a high-speed PCIe Host, Gen 2 (5 GB/s), USB 2.0, 28 GPIO and PoE interface.

The manufacturer has placeda capacitive touch displayon top of the reTerminal. The diagonal of the screen is5"and its resolution is1280 x 720 px, the screen provides high image quality with good color reproduction. The appliedIPSmatrix, in contrast to TN matrices, ensures high viewing angles.
